Welcome to the homepage of The Berlin Thistle Pipes & Drums!
This is the best place on the web to find information about pipemusic in and around Berlin, the capital of Germany, and we are the only competing pipeband in the whole region.

As a pipeband, we always try to improve our playing technique and musical expression and for that reason take part in competitions in Germany and continental Europe. As you might have seen on the news pages (Neuigkeiten), we already won in grade five and had very good results in solo and quintet competitions. Although we are only nine active members, we have now reached a very good standard of tunes we can play and which includes marches of all kinds, hornpipes, jigs, reels, strathspeys and slow airs.
We also do appearances as quintet, band or solo pipers and teach Great Highland Bagpipes, Snare-, Tenor-, and Bassdrum.

In "Die Band" (which means "The Band" :-) you can have a look on a short german description of the band and also see photos of the members. There you will also see that we have very good experiences with pipers and students from other countries such as the USA or Canada, who played with us during their time in Berlin.
